Technical Product Support Specialist

Job Overview

The Technical Support Team based in Corropoli is responsible for three intrusion brands within EMEA, Bentel, DSC and Visonic, all leading manufacturer of security sensors and wired/wireless security systems.  


As one of EMEA’s largest suppliers of wired/wireless system, Visonic, DSC and Bentel designs systems to be installed by professional installation engineers in to residential and light commercial applications. Using the latest wireless technologies these systems are able to take away the time consuming work and cost related to cabling whilst ensure robust operation and quality performance that you would normally associate with any security related product.


Working in the Support department the job will involve telephone support of the DSC, Bentel and Visonic range of products, plus opportunity to work with other brands such as SurGard.  The position will assist with training (in house and externally), product evaluation, occasional site visits and any other activity that can help support our customers and internal teams.

Education & Technical Skill Requirements



  • HNC in Electronics or IT Required
  • Fluent in one or more of the major European languages, Italian, English German, French, or Hebrew. 
  • Previous experience in a support, repair or fault finding  environment
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Windows, desktop skills
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team work
  • Comfortable taking 30-40 calls per day
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Networking




  • Experience working within the Electronic Security (intruder systems) or Communications industry
  • Linux Experience would be an advantage
  • SQL experience would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of electronic security products and electrical concepts.
  • Understanding of networking principals and concepts.


Job Responsibilities

The Support Engineer will have responsibility for:

  • Responding to customer calls in a professional and efficient manner, dealing with and

resolving issues within SLA times.

  • Providing support for the Tyco Security Products intrusion product range, working on both

application software and hardware products.

  • Providing feedback to customer, colleagues and managers
  • Evaluation of products
  • Product training when required




The job will be based in Corropoli (TE) Italy
